We are Roy and Coulette Ludick, co-founders of Beyond the Beckon. We were both born and raised in ranching backgrounds in Zimbabwe.
For a combined forty plus years both our careers were immersed in the safari industry and we've had the privilege of living, working, and guiding in some of the most stunning wilderness areas across Southern Africa.
We moved to the United States in 2017 and it has been home to us since. We reside in the countryside near Hamilton, Texas, with our daughter, three dogs, a cat, and two horses.
Our hearts remain deeply connected to Africa, inspiring us to share our passion for its vibrant beauty, diverse wildlife, and landscapes. Together with our founding partners and expert travel curators in Africa, we bring decades of experience to help you create your dream African Safari.

It's safe to say this was a trip of a lifetime! Our group cried when we left Zimbabwe and all said we were not sure we'd be able to return to our normal lives - we loved our guides, the country of Zimbabwe, and the magic of safari days and nights that much!
